Genshin Impact is one of the hottest free-to-play games of this year. This open-world RPG game has recently landed on PC and PlayStation 4, as well as Android and iOS devices. How to get multiplayer in Genshin Impact?
Once you level up to Adventure Rank 16, multiplayer mode will be automatically unlocked in the game. You don’t have to go through any additional process or pay to unlock it.
Reaching Adventure Rank 16 is relatively straightforward. Just go through the storyline missions or ‘Archon Quests’ until you need a new Adventure Rank to progress further in the main story. In the meantime, you can finish the side quests, explore the vast open world, open chests, unlock waypoints, and complete assignments from the Adventurers’ Guild (unlocks at Rank 12).
How to invite friends in Genshin Impact?
After you and your friends get to Adventure Rank 16, you can invite them to play together from the Co-op section in the Paimon Menu. On the top-left corner, you should see your user ID, with the option to enter another player’s user ID on the top.
Assuming that your friends are online, give your user ID and ask them to enter it in the search option of the Paimon Menu. In a few seconds, they will join your game. If you want to join your friend’s game instead, you need to ask for the user ID and enter it.
From the Friends section in the Paimon Menu, you can add your friends with the same user ID. After they accept your friend request, you will be able to invite them to your game or vice-versa from the Friends section instead of re-entering the user ID every time.
How to find random players in Genshin Impact?
You can search for random players from the Co-op section in the Paimon Menu. There will be a list of other players, and you can invite a random to your multiplayer lobby or send a request to join their game.
When you enter Domains, you will be prompted to matchmake with randoms. After that, you can finish the Domains with a lobby of up to three other players.
Note that the player assigned to “P1” will have to select Co-op in order to bring other lobby players in the Domain.
Is cross-platform play enabled on Genshin Impact?
Yes, Genshin Impact supports cross-play on all supported platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, Android, and iOS. The upcoming Nintendo Switch port will supposedly support cross-play as well.
This means you can enjoy Genshin Impact with your friends regardless of the platform you play on.
