Google’s new iMessage Rival called Chat is Coming Soon

Earlier we have reported that Google may soon come up with their own personal messaging app for Android smartphone users. Now, Google has officially announced that they are launching their iMessage Rival called Chat app in the market very soon.

As per the latest reports, Google will release this Chat app in the UK and France later this month. People who are using Google’s Android devices will be able to opt for a new Messaging environment i.e. Chat.

Just like Apple’s iMessage app, Google is planning to make its Chat app mandatory for Android users. This means we will get to see the Chat app as the default messaging app on Android devices. The same app will also be available to download and install on other Android devices in future.

The new Chat app will be more advanced than Apple’s iMessage app. The app will let users notify when someone has read the message or someone is typing. The same feature is available on WhatsApp. The app will work with both, Wi-Fi and Phone’s data connectivity.

The app is designed for the new generation users who can make use of this app to send high-resolution images and videos quickly. Unlike WhatsApp, you don’t need to compromise with the quality of the videos and images.

Just like Apple’s iMessage app, users will be allowed to enable or disable this Chat app from the Settings Menu. This app will be available as a default messaging app, you can simply visit the Settings Menu and select the Chat app to disable or enable it as per your needs.

According to Google’s Spokesperson, Google is aiming high to make this Chat app available to more regions in the coming future. People from around the world will get this Chat app in the coming months after its testing phase in the UK and France. So initially, they will launch this app for the UK and France only starting from the end of this month. The specific launch date for this app is still unknown.

Google has also confirmed that the same Chat app will be made available to other countries this year. So we will not have to wait for the next year to see this app live on our Android devices.
