Google to Bring Dark Theme for Photos, News, Calendar and Android Auto

Google has been working on Dark Themes for its services for years. Out of all Google’s services, YouTube was the first app to receive a Dark Theme feature in the previous year as an alternative option. And now, the giant has showcased how they are making the Dark Theme feature available to other Google’s services.

Google has released detailed guidelines on how they are implementing this new Dark Theme on their other services. The giant has explained in brief how their team has worked hard to bring this theme for its other services such as Google Photos, Google News, Google Calendar and the upcoming Android Auto.

Google Photos

The Dark Theme on Google Photos is made available for the users of Android Q Operating System as of now. They have used a light-dark theme in the Photos app so that the original colors of the images don’t mix up. It’s a great theme and looks much more appealing than other normal themes.

Google Calendar

The Calendar app from Google is also highly useful app and most Android users to make use of this app on a daily basis to add events, reminders and many other future events which are important.

The Calendar app will not receive any major differences with the dark mode enabled. In fact, you will get a crystal clear black and white display on your screen. Dark background with white color that’s how the dark theme will look and displayed by the feature enabled.

Google News

Google News is being used by Millions of its users across the globe. They also read news during the night time and with this new Dark Theme mode will make their news reading experience more user-friendly.

Just like the Calendar app’s dark theme, in Google News app, they have developed the app with the same black and white colors. The texts will be seen in white color while the background will be of black. It looks very decent and will help the users to read news easily.

Android Auto

Google is redesigning their Android Auto app which is also getting a much-awaited Dark Mode or Dark Theme feature in this fall. It will look much decent and good to your eyes when enabled.
