Google Maps is undoubtedly one of the most useful services offered by Google for Android users. Google Maps has a history feature that lets you see which places you have visited in the past. This is quite a useful feature to keep an eye on the places you have visited. You can get to know a lot of things just by exploring the history feature on Google Maps.

However, the company is releasing an update of its Google Maps app to manage the data of Google Maps. In the coming days, Google will release an update which will add a new feature called ‘Auto-delete’. According to this new feature, users will be able to delete the past history of the visited places automatically as it ages. You don’t need to manually manage the history as this feature will automatically remove them.

Google is very good at serving you with a variety of useful information. it uses your current location to suggest nearby restaurants, hotels, fuel station and many other options which are indeed helpful. It navigates you to the right direction and lets you reach out to the exact location. It also lets you share your current location and route with your friends and family members.

This feature will be made available as a separate one and you can keep it turned off if you don’t want to auto delete the places you have visited in the past from the Google Maps. However, you will have an option to auto-delete the history with 3 months, 18 months or you can even delete your history manually using the manual option.

When you choose 3 months option, the data of the previous 3 months will be removed after the period is over. The app will start storing the new data as you have finished the 3 months period.

Unfortunately, we are certainly unsure about this feature and its availability as of now. However, Google will soon announce the availability of this new auto-delete feature in the Google Maps app in the coming days. We will have to wait for some more days to see this feature live on the app.
