We all use Google’s premium services such as Google Drive, Google Photos, Gmail and many other more for free. Google Photos is one of the most popular photo-storing apps which is backed by Google’s Cloud-storage. The company has recently released a major redesign of the app which has made the layout of the app completely different.
The hamburger menu button is quite famous and we can see the same button on Google’s all the other services. Apparently, the popular Hamburger Button is now placed on the latest Google Photos app. Yes, the company has removed this Hamburger Button from the app.
A new Library tab is taking place of the standard Hamburger menu button. The Side Menu on Google Photos is quite useful as it contains a lot of useful options such as a print store, library, settings etc, folders, trash, archive etc. Apart from this, the main interface of the app includes four different options for albums and photos, For You and Sharing. All these four options are included in the main interface of the app.
The Search Menu’s position has been changed. You can find it on the bottom side of the app. Once you select the Search bar, you will be suggested with a number of options which looks quite interesting. It makes Photo exploration quite familiar and easy.
Search items bring a number of useful options such as Screenshots, Selfies, Videos, and More. All these options are given there so that you can easily find out the related photos from the main Google Photos’ storage. You don’t need to search for the same in the Albums section.
The Album tab has also been removed from the main interface. It brings two new options i.e. Search Tab and Library.
The new redesign edition of the Google Photos app has been rolling out as server-side-update and it will take some time to reach out to the public. The update is currently accessible by a limited number of users. We expect from Google to release the update as soon as possible. We will update you with more information about the same.
