Google Night Sight Mode Launched for Pixel 3, Pixel 2, and Pixel Smartphones

Google just launched the Night Sight mode on its Google Camera, and this new feature will work on Pixel 3, Pixel 2, and Pixel Smartphones. If you are an owner of a Pixel smartphone, the Google Camera Update is now available on Google Play store.

Google unveiled this feature during the launch event of the Pixel 3 smartphone in New York, in October.  To show the capability of this feature, the presenter has shown off a comparison of a low-light scene, one shot on the iPhone X Sand the other with the Pixel 3. After the demo for comparison, a lot of people was shocked of what the Night Sight is capable of.

Google’s ‘Night Sight’ is a smart and productive feature wherein it constantly adapts to you and the environment. The app measures your natural handshake, as well as how much motion is in the scene.  Night Sight will spend more time capturing light to minimize noise if the camera and the scene is still, but Night Sight will use shorter exposures to capture less light and minimize motion blur when the phone and the scene is constantly moving.

Aside from that smart adaption, it also transforms dark but sharp photos into a bright and nice photo.  Night Sight balances the color of your photo to make the objects looks natural at night, and in order to produce that outcome, Nigh Sight uses machine learning. Well, it really gives us what it promises as Google says that Night Sight is designed to capture true-to-life photos, adapting to different lighting conditions you’ll see at night.

The Night Sight feature for the Google Camera is now available on the Play Store, but if it is not yet available for you, just wait and it will eventually come. Stay tuned with TechnoCodex to be always updated.
