Google may launch new Pixel smartphones on September 25

NEW DELHI: Tech giant Google launched its latest smartphone under Pixel series — Pixel 4a — last month. At the time of the launch, the company announced that it will be soon launching Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a’s 5G variant as well.
Now a new report has claimed that the company might launch both the smartphones on September 25.
According to an internal document from Vodafone Germany, Google Pixel 4a 5G and the Google Pixel 5 may launch in Germany on September 25. The popular tipster Jon Posser revealed that the Pixel 5 will come in Black and Green colour options, while Pixel 4a 5G will come only in Black colour.
Another report by GSMArena, claims that Google may price Pixel 5 at 630 euros.
Recently, Pixel 5 was also spotted on the benchmarking website — AI-Benchmark. The listing on the website confirmed that Google Pixel 5 will not be powered by a high-end processor. Instead, the smartphone will be powered by a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. This is the same processor that OnePlus used in its recently launched smartphone, the OnePlus Nord.
The smartphone is said to feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It is also said that this time Google may reintroduce fingerprint sensor and remove face unlock feature.
Meanwhile, Google is likely to launch Pixel 4a in India sometime next month. The smartphone will be available in India via Flipkart. Pixel 4a comes with 5.81-inch FHD+ OLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution. The display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor with Adreno 618 GPU and comes with Titan M security chip. It runs on 6GB of RAM and packs 128GB internal storage.
