Google Maps will now let you to create and host public events in your local area. As of now, this feature is only rolled out for selected users, as reported by AndroidPolice. However, soon it will be pushed for public preview also. Some selected users have got an option in their Google Maps to create public events.

Just fill out all the necessary details related to you and that event like name, location, and time of the event and publish it. You can also add end times, photos, and other pieces of information to make your event detail more specific to your customers.

However, as mentioned earlier, this feature is at its early stage and so available for only a few users. But soon it will be going live for public preview also. So, keep patience to get this feature rolling on for you also to create and host public event.
