Google Launches a Coronavirus Website To Provide The Latest Update On COVID-19

Google launches a website dedicated to Coronavirus to offer the latest information on COVID-19. This new website from Google gathers the latest news and data related to novel coronavirus, which is updated regularly. Google reveals top searches related to the Coronavirus, but it also put forth several items that focus on education and prevention.

When you visit Google’s website, you will see the standard information card showing all the necessary information related to this virus, such as symptoms, preventions, and treatment. After that, Google directs users to visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization, as they’re trusted organizations combating this situation.

In addition to that, the website includes several other information in the form of links and clips to make people aware of the situation in a more natural way. There’s also an entire section dedicated to tips on working remotely, coping with stressful days, working out, and cooking.

If we consider some reports, Google didn’t plan to launch a website so soon for Coronavirus, but the President of the United States, Donald Trump, put Google on the spot in a press conference. Donald Trump described that an online resource for all Americans to locate testing centers and get tested. However, Google launched a website that is very different from what the President described. All Americans can visit Google’s generic website that offers information surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.

Apart from this website, there’s also an update for Google Search. Google announced it’s offering enhanced search results through information cards. They’ll include an overview with top stories as well as tabs for symptoms, prevention, treatments, and statistics.

As of now, this website is only limited to the United States. However, it will soon be available to other countries in their native languages. Google is developing a system that gathers information and data for all parts of the world to serve the general public.
