Google Duo Adds Emoji Reactions To Video Messages

From the beginning of the online messaging era, Google has been struggling to place itself in a better position in comparison to others. However, its efforts in messaging over the past few years haven’t always resulted in success, but yes, one of its impressive products is Google Duo which is quite fruitful than any other messaging application from its bucket.

Now, to make Duo more engaging Google has added yet another new feature to Duo with reactions in video messages. The all-new Google’s new reactions feature offers a quick response option for incoming video messages. Let’s say, if your friend sends a short video and you want to respond that it’s funny, you can quickly tap the reaction button and select the laughing emoji.

This is not the first of its kind reaction message. You can found similar reactions on other platforms as well such as Instagram where you can quickly respond to a story just by swiping up a reaction. Facebook also has a similar feature with reactions to posts.

Google Duo Emoji Reaction

With reactions on Google Duo, there are eight emojis available to react to a video message. Once a reaction has been selected, the user who sent the video message gets a notification from any recipients who send a reaction. If it is a group message, all users can see the reactions of others in the group.

This feature will fasten the reaction process especially for those people who have a lot of contacts and jumbled with a lot of messages. As of now, this feature is widely rolled out on Google Duo for Android. If you’re not seeing it, make sure your app is up to date on the Play Store.
