Google recently updated its Camera app with several new features alongside the launch of Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A 5G smartphones. The company has updated the app with new user interface, new video stabilisation shooting modes and more. Now, it seems that the company is bringing new camera features to older Pixel phones as well. A Twitter user @KaKito_24 posted a screenshot of the updated camera app on Pixel 4XL smartphone in a tweet.
The tweet reads, “Google Camera just updated for me via Play Store version 8.1.008.341125824
On Pixel 4 XL. Looks like UI Revamp.”
However, nothing has been confirmed by Google regarding the rollout of new camera features to older Pixel smartphones. Also, the Google Play Store listing on older Pixel phones shows the older version of the Google Camera app. In case you are curious to test out the new features on older Google Pixel smartphones, the APK file is already available to download on the Internet.
The screenshot from the tweet clearly shows that the new Google Camera app 8.1 brigns features like Cinematic Pan features, new user interface to Pixel 4XL. However, it is still unclear whether older features like Night Sight Portrait will be a part of the updated app or not.
For those unaware, Google has recently launched its Pixel 4a smartphone in India. The phone features 5.8-inch OLED punch hole display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor.
