Google is the most secured platform for the Internet users. In fact, the tech-giant offers a variety of services to make your Internet life easier. Today, Google has announced a new security update to its Login System. The giant has planned to block sign-ins from embedded app browsers frameworks from the coming June month.
The company is focusing on improving their services by enhancing the browser’s security. This will prevent MitM-based phishing attacks to your system and devices from which you are signing-in.
According to Google’s Product Manager, the company plans to block any user login from an embedded browser app. There are many embedded tools designed with frameworks available in the market allowing users to log into their Google accounts for surfing different types of websites through it. However, such framework based browsers and apps are not secured.
Google has been receiving many complaints regarding the phishing attacks through such browsers and to prevent this type of attacks on your mobile devices and computer systems, the company will block down login attempts from such framework based apps and browsers from this June month.
Embedded Browser Framework offers seamless login to let users explore a variety of social networking platform such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many other more. Aside from this, it also welcomes phishing attacks by the hackers to steal the information and other important data including your web-browsing history. To avoid such dangerous phishing attacks from the Internet, Google is improving their security feature by updating the software.
The company has designed a simple solution to prevent such attacks. Instead of launching a new software, they are redesigning it and blocking down the users who are attempting to log in through Framework browsers.
The company has advised the developers to switch to browser-based authentication program which lets them log in through familiar browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox etc. With a secured log in, their systems will remain safe and free-from cyber attacks. After successful logins, users will be allowed to explore other apps and websites.
