Google Assistant Tests Authorizing Payment Through Voice Commands


Google Assistant has been receiving significant updates since it was launch. The same assistant is now getting the most recommended update that lets users make payments through voice command. To do so, Google Assistant to receive a new Match Voice feature in its upcoming update.

The new Match Voice features a part of the private program of Google which is exclusively designed for the Google Assistant app. The new feature is currently under its testing phase. According to reports, the new Match Voice feature on Google Assistant is designed to make purchases through voice commands connected with smart speakers and smart devices.

At present, you are not allowed to make purchases through voice commands as there is no such option available. The same feature will let you pay bills of restaurants and many other services.

Interestingly, Google has updated its Support Page. The official instruction didn’t reveal much about this new feature. However, many of the Google Assistant users have been able to use this Match Voice feature. The updated menu features the Match Voice feature which can be disabled or enabled by the user easily.

The Match Voice feature first reported by Android Police where they have also shared screenshots of how this feature can be enabled. First, it will ask for the setup process where you will have to verify your voice first. Apparently, as per the reports, this new feature is not fully secured as someone else could voiceover to breach the security.

This could make unauthorised transactions easily since you are already logged into devices. Google is constantly working on the improvement side of this new feature to make it more secure for the third-parties.

Google has been working on this new Voice Match feature for a long time and we have seen many reports and updates on the development phase of it.

Some more reports claim that Google will also allow the users to set a particular limit for the transactions using this Voice Match feature. We will get to learn more about this new feature in the coming weeks.
