Google Assistant announces for Waze in the US


Google’s Virtual Voice Assistant, Google Assistant is undoubtedly the best companion of many Smartphone users. The Assistant is available on many Google apps and other third-party apps. Today, Google Assistant announced for the popular navigation app, Waze.

Waze is a second-top navigation app in the United States with over 110 Million active users. The company has tied up with Google to bring Google’s Voice Assistant to the app. The same was teased at Google’s I/O 2019 conference and now, the Waze app is getting this Voice Assistant officially.

Beginning from today, Google Assistant for Waze is rolling out for Android users in the Country. The Assistant will be fully integrated with the Waze app. Users of the Waze app will not have to use or tap on the screen for navigation’s guidance, the app will be managed by your voice with the Google Assistant.

Waze is a popular Navigation app with a number of advanced features to help users with their queries. The Assistant will support all the useful features of the app such as calling out for potholes, checking for alternate routes, traffic jam alerts and many other more. All these advanced features will be integrated directly with Google Assistant.

If we talk about the voice commands, you need not try out anything different to use it with the Waze app. You just need to ask the same commands as you are doing with the current Android devices. You just need to say “Hey Google, avoid traffic jams” or “Hey Google, show me an alternate route” The Waze app will work with this voice commands on your Android phone.

Apart from this, Google is also launching a new Driving Mode this summer. The aim behind launching this standalone Driving Mode is to replace the existing Android Auto App from the Vehicle’s screens. The new Driving Mode app will be fully integrated with Google’s Voice Assistant and a ton of new and innovative features to make your navigations hassle-free.

Android Phones supporting Google Assistant will be able to use Google Assistant on their Waze app with an update starting from today. The same update will be made available to iOS platform soon.
