Today, Gmail was down for a few hours in some parts of the world where users have faced serious issues while sending or receiving emails on their Gmail account. However, Google has acknowledged that downtime and soon recovered the servers. And now, Gmail is working normally.
According to some users on Twitter, Gmail started facing some issues starting at 3:36 PM BST. This outage seems to have affected most of the users across the world. Even GSuite users have also reported that they were facing the same issues.
Most of the users across the world say that they were facing major problems while sending emails. The rest of the functionality of Gmail was working normally as usual.
Google has confirmed an outage took place and says the issue is resolved.
“Gmail service has already been restored for some users,” Google said in a statement.
“And we expect a resolution for all users in the near future. Please note this time frame is an estimate and may change.
“The affected users are able to access Gmail, but may experience delays in sending or receiving messages.”
