GitHub for Mobile Now Available in Beta for Android Users

GitHub, the world’s most popular software developing platform with millions of developers across the globe now making its way to the mobile platforms. Yes, GitHub has officially released its mobile app for Android users. Initially, the team has launched the app in its beta form.

The company has first unveiled about the app’s availability very soon during Android’s latest version launch. Today, they have made the app official for Android users. GitHub dev has shared the beta version of the app. GitHub is mostly accessible on desktop and not mobiles.

They have been receiving requests from the users to make it available for mobile users also. Mobile users can also engage with GitHub’s platform while travelling or from a remote place and for that very reason, the company has made its mobile app.

Being a beta edition, users can view the contents from their mobile phone’s screen but can’t make any changes to it. However, the official stable version will let users add or edit contents right from their mobile phone.

GitHub has become a popular choice for the developers and web users from where they can get reliable codes and can download readymade programs which they can use anywhere they want. If you are a developer, then you can develop your own software or program on this platform. Apart from developing programs, you can also engage with the community where you can share your knowledge, can discuss things with the experts and vice versa.

With the availability of the mobile app, programming tasks can be completed easily as all the team members can now engage from remote locations. Previously, they have to come online from their desktops. But from now, they can make use of their mobile phone’s apps to take part in the discussion to completing the task.

The app has already been released for iOS a few weeks ago and now they have made the same app available for the Android platform. You can sign up for GitHub’s beta program to view contents, merging of codes and doing other basic activities.
