Ubisoft brings Ghost Recon Breakpoint to PS5 and Xbox Series X | S with some significant visual improvements.
Along with Rainbow Six Siege, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is the other Ubisoft title that receives an enhancement update on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S.
Revealed in a recent blog post on the official webpage of Ghost Recon Breakpoint, the game will be available on the ninth-gen consoles of Sony and Microsoft through the backward compatibility feature, but there is an enhancement update as well, which allows players to run the game in two different modes on their all-new consoles. The Performance mode will run the game at 60 frames per second on 1080p resolution, while the Resolution mode will lower the frame rates to 30 FPS but increases the output resolution up to 4K – which is 1440p for Xbox Series S. It’s worth noting that the PS5 version will only upscale the textures to 4K.
Recently, Breakpoint received a big update that brought some significant improvements to the enemy AI and changed their behavior and reactions to the players. Also, the new update expanded the player’s option in customizing the game’s world, including the ability to turn on/off the presence of rebels and terminators.
For the time being, it seems Ubisoft has moderately long plans for supporting Ghost Recon Breakpoint with new content and continuous updates. The game didn’t experience a successful launch and was one of the poorly-received titles of 2019. Ubisoft admitted in a financial report after Breakpoint‘s launch that the game couldn’t hit the milestones in terms of sales.
Currently, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is available on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Stadia, and PC.
