Full Multiplayer Patch Notes for the Season 4 Update of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 | Gaming and Entertainment

Fans of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 are in for a treat with the release of the Season 4 update. This massive update brings significant changes to the multiplayer experience. One of the highlights of the update is the addition of six new and returning maps: Kunstenaar District, Showdown, Mawizeh Marsh, Ahkdar Village, Mercado, and Penthouse. These maps can be played in various modes, including Core 6v6, Gunfight, and more. Additionally, there will be a seventh map added later in the season.

Aside from the new maps, Activision has also included gameplay tweaks, bug fixes, and playlist changes. These improvements aim to enhance the overall gaming experience. Players can find all the detailed changes in the patch notes.

Let’s dive into the specifics of the new maps:

1. Kunstenaar District (Core 6v6): Located in Vondel, west of the Museum, this Arts District features townhouses, boutique shops, a central plaza, and a swimmable canal along its west side.

2. Showdown (Core 6v6): This iconic map makes a triumphant return. It’s perfect for honing your skills for intense battles or unleashing powerful airstrikes and helicopter Killstreaks with Gold weapons, just like the good old days.

3. Mawizeh Marsh (Battle Map): Set in the Al Mazrah region, this map showcases the remnants of the infamous River Diamond Luxury Resort, situated within the Mawizeh Marshlands.

4. Ahkdar Village (Battle Map): The action primarily takes place in the village, where Showdown is also located. It is bordered by a railroad to the south and stepped farms and the base of a mountain to the north. Expect intense vehicular combat within the city walls, but infantry can counter with strategic positioning on the battlements, rooftops, and alleyways.

5. Mercado (Gunfight): A section of Las Almas has been converted into the Mercado for intense Gunfight and Face Off battles. Brace yourself for frenetic combat across multiple levels within this sprawling, covered structure. Stick close to your duo or trio, devise tactics, and execute them swiftly.

6. Penthouse (Gunfight): Take your Gunfights to new heights. The Penthouse, nestled in the heart of Chicago, features a lap pool, an outdoor firepit, and a sleek and modern interior designed with tight angles.

Furthermore, the update includes various bug fixes to address collision and geometry issues on multiplayer maps. Players can now enjoy improved gameplay without these hindrances.

In terms of playlists, Battle Map (12v12) Search and Destroy and Battle Map (12v12) Prisoner Rescue have been added. Additionally, Quickplay has expanded to include 10v10, 3rd Person, Infected, Gun Game, Drop Zone, and Grind game modes.

The general adjustments in this update include fine-tuning spawns in Breenbergh Hotel, Black Gold, Exhibit, and Himmelmatt Expo. The rate at which UAV sweeps are performed for the infected team in Giant Infected has also been updated. Class tables now include Blueprints through Season 03 Reloaded. Various weapon locations have been adjusted, such as moving the bag locations from the top of barrels to the ground on Black Gold in Knock Out. Furthermore, new options like “Score Limit” and “Time Limit” have been added for the Bounty mode.

Bug fixes have been implemented to address several issues. Exploits with the Tactical Camera and out of bounds issues with the Recon Drone have been resolved. Rewards for killing Players in Last Stand are now correctly awarded. The connection timeout issue in Drop Zone has been fixed. Melee kills now correctly count as one-hit-kills in One in the Chamber. Text cutoff and missing Weapon names in in-game Weapon challenge camo unlock messages have been rectified. Additionally, issues in Private Matches related to earning Killstreaks with specific options turned on have been resolved.

With the Season 4 update, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 fans have a wealth of new content and improvements to enjoy. Dive in and experience the thrill of these new maps and gameplay enhancements.
