No More Free Lunches: Patch v.1.2.0 Fixes Glitches in Tears of the Kingdom
Ever since the highly anticipated release of Tears of the Kingdom, fans have been pushing the boundaries of the game and uncovering various glitches that allow for easy accumulation of wealth or the creation of ridiculously powerful weapons. Nintendo, however, has been quick to address these exploits with regular patches that eliminate the glitches and restore balance to the game.
The most recent patch for Tears of the Kingdom (v.1.2.0) not only addresses minor issues within the game but also eradicates a couple of get-rich-quick glitches. Players who were hoping to exploit these glitches will now have to make a choice between avoiding the update or finding new methods of farming Rupees at a fast pace.
Glitches Eliminated from Tears of the Kingdom with the v.1.2.0 Patch
One of the popular glitches, known as the frozen meat glitch, allowed players to amass money rapidly. To execute this glitch, players needed to fuse meat with a stick, create a pile of meat sticks using Autobuild, and then trigger Autobuild again in a snowy location to obtain frozen meat drops. These drops could then be sold for Rupees.
With the latest patch, the frozen meat glitch has been eliminated, but it’s not the only exploit that has been addressed. The item duplication glitch in Tobio’s Hollow Chasm has also been patched out, forcing players to put in more effort to earn their money. If players want to continue utilizing these glitches, they can choose to disable automatic software updates in their Switch’s System Settings under the System tab.
