Fortnite Birthday Celebration Event Held on July 24th

Fortnite Battle Royale is a very popular game since it’s launched and has managed to collect over $1 billion from in-game purchase. Now to celebrate its birthday, Epic Games has announced a limited in-game event starting from July 24. Under the event, players can earn lots of prizes on the successful completion of challenges and expeditions.

Epic Games announced the celebration on its blog providing players a chance to earn special rewards by completing a series of three challenges and these challenges in question are the following:

  • Deal 1,000 damage to opponents to unlock the Fortnite Birthday Emoticon
  • Dance at different birthday cakes to unlock the Happy Birthday Spray
  • Play 14 matches to unlock 5,000 XP.

Complete all three challenges to earn the Birthday Cake Back Bling. The different birthday sets would unlock with each completing challenge. If a player could finish Fortnite Birthday questline in Save the World, then Birthday Brigade Ramirez will be unlocked as a hero.

The tickets won can also be used to purchase Birthday Llamas that have Heroes and weapons from all the past events but it would exclude quest rewards.

Still, there is no update on the celebratory skin for Battle Royale and perhaps there would be no surprise to see a Birthday Brigade Ramirez appearing as Birthday Team Leader skin during the celebration at some later stage.

Tencent Holdings will surely be toasting during the Fortnite birthday celebration, considering the company has a stake in Epic Games. Tencent also recently revealed that Fortnite will be coming to its WeGame platform this month.
