Fortnite and PUBG Not Playable on iOS 13 Due to Gesture Bug


Apple Inc. just rolled out its much-awaited iOS 13 update for iOS devices. The new iOS 13 update carries a lot of bugs as reported by many users. Many of the third-party apps including the popular Fortnite and PUBG games are found non-playable with the latest update of iOS 13.

People who have upgraded their iOS devices to the latest iOS 13 update are not able to play the PUBG and Fortnite games. The games have sent warning messages to the iOS users and asked them not to upgrade their iOS devices to the iOS 13 update due to a gesture bug. Apart from triple gesture bug, triple-finger tap feature also sends out warning message.

Gesture bug is a text-editing gesture which is found affecting the gameplay. The game steals touches from the game even if there are no editable text fields present. The games which require three fingers on the display are also not able to get the right control.

The popular action games, PUBG and Fortnite require a triple tap on the display. PUBG game is displaying a clear warning message to users and asked them not to upgrade their devices. Since PUBG is very popular in the iOS platform, players might get frustrated if they are unable to play the game on their iOS devices.

Luckily, Apple has already encountered some issues and bugs which are affecting the gameplay of popular games and some gesture issues. The company has already announced the release date of its upcoming iOS 13.1 update.

According to Apple’s official statement, the new iOS 13.1update is set to release on the coming September 24.

The Gesture bug on the iOS 13 was first spotted by 9to5Mac as many of the games’ players have shared screenshots and notes about the update. They have complained about the gesture bug issue mentioning to the official Twitter handle of Fortnite. Since the official iOS 13.1 update is releasing on September 24, gamers will have to wait until this date to fix these known bugs.
