Fortnite Adds The Predator for Chapter 2, Season 5’s Battle Pass

The Predator is emerging from the jungle to track down Fortnite players as the next skin in the Chapter 2, Season 5 Battle Pass.

As the biggest game on the planet, Fortnite is no stranger to going big on creative crossovers. With the game including some well-known faces from across gaming, TV, and film, the next famous character coming to the game is one that a lot of players won’t mind being hunted down by: the Predator

Epic Games has revealed that the Predator is the next character to appear in Fortnite: Chapter 2, Season 5, where players can track down and challenge the infamous alien warrior through a series of Jungle Hunter Quests. In return, players can unlock the Predator skin and various other cosmetics inspired by the iconic character from the Predator film franchise.

Over the past several months, Fortnite has been bringing in an eclectic roster of characters from various franchises both in and outside of gaming. Halo‘s Master Chief and God of War‘s Kratos both made their way into Fortnite as part of the “Gaming Legends” lineup late last year. The latest season has also brought in characters and skins such as The Mandalorian‘s Din Djarin and Grogu (aka Baby Yoda), alongside Daryl and Michonne from AMC’s The Walking Dead.

As for the Predator, this of course isn’t the first time that we’ve seen the famous alien hunter makes its way into video games before. The Predator has previously been featured as a guest fighter in Mortal Kombat X, and last year saw the release of Predator: Hunting Grounds, the cooperative multiplayer game where players collaborated to hunt (or to be hunted by) the Predator. Fortnite marks the latest appearance that the character has made in a game, and so far it seems like a fitting place for the universe’s greatest hunter.

Fortnite is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, and mobile.
