The Shenzhen-based firm are rumoured to be following up the OnePlus Nord with an even cheaper device that will launch at an unbelievable price. The OnePlus Nord already offers plenty of bang for your buck, coming it at a very compelling price of £379. That’s for the version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but if you want to fork out a bit more you can get a OnePlus Nord with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of space for £469.
Whichever model you opt for you will be getting a hugely impressive spec sheet for the price.
Both OnePlus Nord devices are 5G ready, come with six cameras (two on the front and four on the rear) and boast a crisp display thanks to its 90Hz high refresh-rate AMOLED panel.
For the price, it’s a spec sheet that may make you scarcely believe your own eyes – and Express.co.uk were thoroughly impressed with the Nord after putting it through its paces.
In our review we awarded the OnePlus Nord full marks with a five out of five rating, saying the Nord “shouldn’t be possible” at its price point.
And we may be left thinking the same about what Carl Pei, Pete Lau and co have planned next as OnePlus are rumoured to have an even cheaper handset in the works.
According to a post by Android Central, OnePlus has another price-conscientious phone in the works that is priced at just $200 (£150).

Allegedly codenamed Clover, if the device launches at the rumoured price point it would easily be the cheapest phone OnePlus has ever launched.
And considering what OnePlus managed to pack into the Nord, we’re sure the rumoured handset will punch well above its weight as well.
The OnePlus Clover will reportedly come with a whopping 6000mAh battery, giving enough juice to last for two days.
Not only that, but the Clover will still support the trusty 3.5mm headphone jack and boast a triple rear camera set-up as well as a fingerprint sensor on the back.
At such a jaw-dropping price, Android fans may be wondering what compromises the Clover will make.
Well, it will allegedly only come with 64GB of storage onboard but this can be expanded via a microSD slot.
It’s also rumoured to only have 4GB of RAM and be powered by the entry-level Snapdragon 460 chipset.
Plus, unlike the Nord the Clover won’t come with an AMOLED display, instead fitted with a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen.
According to a leaked specs sheet, the Clover allegedly won’t have water resistance either.
But it’s unclear whether this is similar to the Nord which does not come with any water-resistance standards but should be able to survive if it falls into a pool or gets drenched accidentally.
And, leaving the best news till last, it’s rumoured that this cheap, new OnePlus handset will be getting a global release later this year and is set to launch imminently.
Android Central said: “An insider source has confirmed that the phone is set to launch imminently, and that the device will be available in global markets — including the U.S. Given the source’s track record, I’m highly confident in the legitimacy of this information.”
It’s been claimed that we could find out more news on the Clover in the coming weeks, and for Android fans this is one product they’ll definitely want to keep their eyes on.
