Firefox 69 Blocks Third-Party Trackers by Default


Firefox had first announced its new security features in June month. And today, Mozilla has officially rolled out the new Firefox 69 edition for the PC users. Yes, the new Firefox 69 rolls out which brings numerous security features to protect the users from third-party trackers.

All the latest security features have been made available for users with the latest Firefox 69 update for Mac, Windows, Linux and Android.

Most websites keep track of their users and their web-behaviours by using cookies. They also request the users to accept cookies for their websites. Now, Mozilla is blocking such websites from using Cookies. No website can track your system as Mozilla is bringing up this new security feature by default with the latest edition. You don’t need to manually enable this feature.

Mozilla has partnered with Disconnect to bring the websites from using cookies of the users. The same feature will also block crypto-miners which is a good thing for the users who are making online transactions of the cryptocurrencies.

Mozilla is rolling out the Firefox 69 today for all the PC systems and Android mobile platform. All these security features come enabled by default. These new security features are coming up as Mozilla’s Enhanced Tracking Protection i.e. ETP.

Mozilla has also released a blog post where they have mentioned everything about the latest changes made in the new version of its web browser app i.e. Mozilla Firefox 69. If we talk about the current data, there are over 20% of the users who have set up the Enhanced Tracking Protection on their system.

And by introducing this new edition of Firefox, the number of users will be increased as these features will come enabled. The company aims to provide 100% protection to their users so that they can explore the web-world freely and securely.

Once you upgrade the existing Firefox to the latest Firefox 69, you will see a Shield icon in the Address bar as a symbol of protection against cookies and other third-party tracking systems. When you click to this icon, you will see a menu of different items and cookies blocked by this built-in tool.
