We have been hearing a lot about Facebook’s new venture to make the WhatsApp platform available for advertisers. Today’s reports claim that Facebook has no such plan to offer Ads on WhatsApp anytime soon. The report published by The Wall Street Journal has claimed that Facebook has disbanded the team working behind the ads served on the platform.

Facebook has previously said that they have completed the codes to enable ads on WhatsApp. But now, the Social Network giant is removing the codes from WhatsApp as they are not ready to sell out ads on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is undoubtedly the world’s most popular communication platform which was acquired by Facebook a few years back. The chat cum communication app has over a billion daily active users. If Facebook makes this platform open for the advertisers then they can generate a huge revenue out of the platform.

Facebook has made a separate business app, WhatsApp Business for small and big enterprises to marketise their products and services. Facebook has not cleared the doubts about making ads available on the platform.

Ever since Facebook planned to introduce ads on WhatsApp, it has created a big buzz around the technology market. It was a controversial move by Facebook and many of the users disagreed to it.

Apparently, Facebook has not completely banned or closed down the ads codes on WhatsApp. As we all know that WhatsApp has a separate section called Status where users can upload pictures and videos to share them with their contacts for 24 hours. Facebook to implement the Ad codes within the Status section on WhatsApp.

Just like Instagram’s Stories section, Facebook’s Status section is also used by millions of its users. This is a great platform to generate revenues by selling out ads. It seems to be a longer-term project from Facebook as the idea is still in the minds of the owner.

Different reports claim that Facebook will surely make use of the Status section of WhatsApp to start selling out ads from the advertisers to generate revenues. We will update you with more updates on this.
