Facebook Quietly Released a Meme-Making App Whale


Facebook has quietly released a new meme-creation app called Whale exclusively for iPhone users. Facebook owns a number of interesting apps and today, the Social network giant has added yet another interesting app called Whale which is designed for the meme-makers.

As per the latest sources, the company’s Internal NPE team has quietly launched a new app. The app has been released for iPhone users and up for the Canadian App Store. The app is fully creative and you can customize or make your own memes which you can share instantly on various social networks.

The app will provide you with a ton of interesting and popular photos or the users can choose from the given library before adding eye-catchy jokes or texts to the photos. Apart from texts, users can also add specialized stickers and filters to the memes.

Additionally, the app lets you use different types of drawing tools and other interesting tools with grid layouts.

Facebook’s NPE team which is New Product Experimentation was invented by Facebook a few months back. What makes this app even more interesting is it comes with an instant sharing option. You can simply use a share button to share your meme on different social networks.

The whale is a free-to-use app and doesn’t ask for any type of subscription fees or premium plan. The app includes a wide range of editing tools and other useful and readymade library to create an interesting meme.

This app allows you to take an instant photo through the native camera app or can browse the recently taken photos from the camera roll. If you love to draw things on the digital platform, then this app offers one-grid, two-grid, three-grid, four-grid and a blank layout. Apart from this, customizable stickers, freehand tool and many other interesting features are packed to use within the app.

Upon asking about this app to Facebook, the Spokesperson says that it is a part of Facebook’s NPE team and the app launched in Canada for testing purpose. The same app might be removed from the App Store very soon. We are not aware of the availability of this app on other regions as of now!
