Facebook Launches Tuned, an App For Couples To Talk To Each Other

Facebook launches a new app called Tuned that encourages couples to create a personal social network between just each other. This app is currently available only for iOS users in the United States and Canada.

Within this app, couples can share their mood, exchange music, and create a digital scrapbook. They can even chat, share photos, and have a timeline of shared memories between them.

This app was first spotted by The Information. According to the report, this app connects with Spotify to share music between them. They can also use custom stickers and reactions to express different kinds of emotions.

Generally, this app is similar to any other social network where people can chat, share pictures, and perform some other activities. However, this app creates a personal space for couples instead of the general public space which most of the social network offers. This app can be useful in maintaining daily relationships among couples.

This app has been created by Facebook’s New Product Experimentation team which was launched back in last summer. It has already created a meme-generator app and an app similar to Pinterest. Neither of these has gotten much promotional treatment from Facebook, so presumably, the company won’t do a major push for Tuned either.

Well, this app is available to download and use for free of cost. It doesn’t ask you for a Facebook account, although users are subject to Facebook’s data rules, meaning the data people provide can be used for ad targeting. Well, you can download this app right now from the App Store.
