Last year, Facebook has first launched its own Bitmoji-like Avatars in Australia. Since then, the company has been expanding the reach of this feature in different countries including New Zealand, Europe, and the U.S. The latest country to get Facebook’s Avatars is India.
Users can create their own Avatar from a variety of faces, hairstyles, and outfits that have been especially customized for India, according to Facebook.
“Avatars will allow you to create a digital persona that’s uniquely representative of you and will enable you to share a range of emotions and expressions in a fun and personalized way,” Facebook said in a statement.
If you’re a Facebook user, you can use Avatars on stories, posts, profile pictures, and chats. You can create Avatars from both Facebook and Messenger apps. You will have to tap on the smiley button and choose “Create Your Avatar”. You can also access Avatars from bookmarks or the comments section.
You can customize your Avatar as per your wish. You can set the skin color, hairstyle, nose shape, clothes, and more. As of now, the Avatar feature on Messenger is currently only available on the Android platform. However, iOS users will soon get this feature running on their Messenger.
To create an avatar of their own, users have to follow these simple steps:
- Using your device, go to the comment composer section.
- Click on the Smiley button in the comment section.
- Tap on the Sticker tab.
- Click on Create your Avatar
