Facebook has recently introduced the dark mode for its desktop interface, and now, the company confirms that it is testing dark mode for mobile apps. Even, the company has already made the dark mode available to a small fraction of its global users.
The dark mode on mobile has been introduced with the same intention as on desktop – “to cut down on glare,” particularly in low-light environments. Users who have already got this feature started tweeting the screenshot of the dark mode on their Facebook app.
Well, Facebook has taken a quite long time to bring the much-awaited dark mode on its official app on mobile. The company has already shipped the dark mode on its apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Even most of the popular apps have already brought dark mode. So, it is quite surprising for Facebook to bring the dark mode too late on its main app.
Well, the good thing is, the company is finally bringing it in. As of now, there is no news on when the dark mode will be available for every user globally. However, we can expect to see it in the coming months.
