From the last few months, Facebook has been working continuously to bring a fresh UI across its platforms. In the past, we have already seen Facebook revamping its desktop interface. And now, the company is has made a small change in the UI of the Facebook app for Android.
Earlier this year, Facebook started testing a new tabbed News Feed to give users easier access to the Most Recent and Already Seen posts in their feed. And now, the social media giant has started rolling out a new UI which adds bottom tabs in the app.
As you can take a look at the screenshots attached above, the latest update on the Facebook app on Android adds six tabs at the bottom of the UI. he new UI is available in version 2188.8.131.52.111 (and newer) of the app. Once you update your Facebook app to the latest version, you will see a prompt on its first opening highlighting the recent UI update.
While the company has just shifted the existing tabs from the top to the bottom, it will surely make it easier to use the app with just one hand, especially on large screen devices. As for the rollout of this new UI change, it doesn’t appear to be for testing purpose as multiple users on Reddit claims that they have already received this update. So, we can expect to see the wider rollout of this change in the coming days.
