The Tesla-branded liquor “Tesla Tequila” has arrived and it will set you back by $250 a bottle. The liquor is listed at the Tesla online store with the description: “Introducing Tesla Tequila, an exclusive, premium 100% de agave tequila añejo aged in French oak barrels, featuring a dry fruit and light vanilla nose with a balanced cinnamon pepper finish. 40% ABV/750mL”. The liquor is produced by Nosotros Tequila, according to the company.
Well, deliveries were “expected to begin in late 2020” and the store says that it has already gone out of stock for now. The Tesla Tequila can only be shipped to select regions in the United States.
As per Tesla’s online shop, Tesla Tequila deliveries are available in the following states: “Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin.”
The Tesla webpage states that the delivery will be attempted thrice and that PO Box addresses aren’t supported for delivery.
The Tesla Tequila was first revealed in 2018 through a tweet by Musk. The tech billionaire tweeted a pic in which he is seen passed out against a Tesla Model 3 surrounded by Teslaquila bottles.
