Hiro Mashima himself and several guests will fully reveal the Edens Zero game adaptation by Konami at Tokyo Game Show 2020.

Konami announced on September 16 a game adaptation of the newest manga by Hiro Mashima, Edens Zero. Nothing else was revealed for now, and the game has no platforms or release date estimate revealed. However, Konami will hold a special stream during Tokyo Game Show 2020, focusing on the Edens Zero game. The stream will also include news regarding the upcoming anime adaptation of Edens Zero, which was announced on June 17, 2020.

The stream (YouTube page) will be held on September 26, at 2000 JST (Click here for a time conversion table). The event will be around 50 minutes long and feature Hiro Mashima himself alongside multiple guests.

The game was first announced on the Edens Zero official Twitter account:

Hiro Mashima is a huge gamer himself. He finished Yakuza: Like a Dragon in a few days in early 2020 to cite an example. As such, the stream will definitely be interesting to follow.

Serialized in Shuukan Shounen Magazine (Kodansha) since 2018, Edens Zero is a departure from Rave and Fairy Tail in how it has a focus on sci-fi themes, with space travel and robots. However, many characters in Edens Zero have their character designs based on past Hiro Mashima characters.

Recently, Fairy Tail received an RPG adaption by Koei Tecmo and Gust. You can read more about the game with our past coverage, and check out our review. Fairy Tail RPG stops before the manga’s ending, so it’s possible Koei Tecmo might announce a sequel at some point.

Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online will be held from September 23 to 27. The whole event’s official schedule can be found here (JST). We’ll be soon publishing our own schedule on DualShockers with all the games teased or announced so far. During TGS 2020, we’ll actually watch the streams and translate as many details as possible. Meaning we’ll definitely have details non Japanese speakers will miss. Look forward to it.
