EA Games recently unified its Origin Access and EA Access subscription service under one roof and called it EA Play. Now, EA has confirmed that they are soon launching the EA Play subscription service for Valve’s Steam gaming platform. According to their blog post, the EA Play subscription service will arrive on Steam on August 31.
This is the fourth platform where the service will be available for players after Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and EA’s own Origin store on PC. Just like other platforms, Stream users will be able to access all the benefits of EA Play subscription such as access to publisher’s biggest titles including Sims 4, Titanfall 2 and more. Players will also get early access to newly released titles, deals and discounts on EA titles.
The EA Play subscription is available in two editions. The base edition will cost $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. The premium edition, however, costs $14.99 a month and players have to pay $99.99 for an entire year. The premium edition also includes early access to new EA titles.
The launch of EA Play on Steam is part of the partnership between the two entities which happened back in 2018. Also, the EA Games announced the plan to expand its service to Steam back in 2019.
List of games that will be available to play as a part of EA Play subscription includes Titanfall 2, Battlefield 4, Battlefield V, Battlefield 1, BattleFront, Need for Speed Heat, Sims 4 and more.
