Dyson V15 Detect vacuum cleaner with laser dust detection launched in India: Price, specs and all details
Dyson has launched its most powerful and intelligent vacuum cleaner to date in India — Dyson V15 Detect vacuum cleaner. The all-new Dyson V15 Detect is a cord-free vacuum which, as per the company, can detect hidden dust particles as small as 10 microns. It comes equipped with an acoustic piezo sensor and Hyperdymium motor. It can be used to clean floors, hard-to-reach places and mattresses.
Dyson V15 Detect price in India
Dyson V15 Detect is priced at Rs 62,900. It is available at Dyson.in and Dyson Demo stores across the country. The device is also available online on Amazon. The vacuum cleaner comes in three colour options —- Iron, Nickel and Yellow.
Dyson V15 Detect specifications
The cord-free Dyson V15 Detect vacuum cleaner claims to offer up to 60 minutes of fade-free suction. It houses a five-stage filtration system and is powered by the company’s Hyperdymium motor which is said to generate up to 240 watts of suction. Dyson says that the new cord-free vacuum offers 1.5 times more suction and 54% more bin capacity than the Dyson V12 Detect Slim Total Clean that launched in February this year.
The laser dust detection feature in the Dyson V15 Detect uses an angled green laser integrated into a cleaner head to detect microscopic dust particles that are not visible by the naked eye. The V15 Detect houses Piezo sensors equipped to count dust particles. Carbon fibre filaments in the cleaner head pick up microscopic particles which are sized and counted up to 15,000 times a second. The dust enters the vacuum and hits the acoustic Piezo sensor within the bin inlet with the tiny vibrations being converted to electrical signals. The dust size and quantity are shown on the in-built LCD screen. The vacuum can automatically increase suction power in case there is a large amount of dust. There are no controls for this and the company says that this happens in auto mode. Whenever the Piezo sensor detects high concentrations of dust, the reactive suction power is triggered to automatically increase in power. When dust levels normalise, suction power is reduced to its previous level.
The Dyson V15 Detect comes with de-tangling technology, allowing it to pick up long hair and pet hair with an anti-tangle conical brush bar. Said to be inspired by a detangling comb, the brush bar features 56 hair removal vanes, aimed to be able to move all hair types directly into the cleaner head. These polycarbonate teeth, combined with a set of spiralling nylon bristles can capture hairs, as well as larger debris and microscopic dust.
Dyson further says that its DLS technology in the new motor bar can adapt power across different floor types. This means that users don’t need to switch cleaner heads, or power modes. The company has also claimed that Dyson’s fully sealed system can capture and seal in 99.99 percent of microscopic particles, including those that are as small as 0.3 microns.
