Apple has unveiled its first mixed-reality headset, the Vision Pro, which will be launched in 2024 with a price tag of $3,499. With the Vision Pro strapped to the user’s face, their apps will appear to float in front of them, allowing them to move around the real world while still seeing the apps. Unlike traditional screens, the Vision Pro displays content in three dimensions, with 3D renders that can be placed on surfaces such as a table. Users can also watch 3D films and shows and can take three-dimensional photos and videos. The headset will have its own App Store and will work with almost all of Apple’s portfolio of gadgets. Users can also use wireless earbuds, such as AirPods Pro, and Bluetooth accessories, like the Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad, to listen to music, make hands-free calls, and watch movies.
