Desperados 3 Developer Mimimi Games Reveals Next Game

0

Mimimi Games next title will be its third real-time tactics games. This go-around its called Codename Süßkartoffel and the studio is self-publishing.

If you haven’t played it yet, Mimimi Games’ Desperados 3 is one of the best tactics games to come out in a while. The game is a fantastic take on the genre, with a compelling cowboy tale and an innovative showdown mechanic that lets you set up some truly ridiculous shootouts. Today, Mimimi officially announced its next game. It’s another real-time tactics game called Codename Süßkartoffel.

Codename Süßkartoffel represents an intriguing change for Mimimi Games. Previously, the team worked with THQ Nordic (Desperados 3) and Daedalic Entertainment (Shadow Tactics) to publish their titles. However, they’ve made the change to self-publish this next title. That gives them “full control and responsibility” over every aspect. Additionally, the team received a grant from the German government to help fund the game.

Otherwise, the only thing I can tell you about the game is that Süßkartoffel means sweet potato in german. Is this a tactical cooking game? Are you controlling sentient sweet potatoes in their quest to fight against baked potatoes? Who can say?

What is for sure is that I can’t wait to see what Mimimi Games does next. After being absolutely enthralled by Desperados 3, I immediately dived into Shadow Tactics. Both games are phenomenal. If you haven’t had the chance, let me again highly recommend giving them a try. You won’t regret it.

Once more is known about Codename Süßkartoffel we’ll be sure to pass that info along. For now, just go pick up Desperados 3. It’s available now on  PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It’s worth your money at full price, but I would be very surprised if it doesn’t’ go on sale during the holiday. Give it a try. You owe it to yourself.
