Dead Island 2 is Still Under Development and Alive

Dead Island 2 game originally announced all the way back in the year 2014. After five years of its announcement, the game is still under its development mode. Well, the game is still being worked on as reported by the officials.

During a financial presentation, we have come to know that the Dead Island 2 game is still alive and not dead. During the announcement, the game was announced with Spec Ops: The Line Studio Yagar as the developer.

In the year 2015, the publisher announced that they are parting from the main developers of the game. Later on, the publisher announced that Sumo Digital will be the official developers of the game.

After a few months of its announcement, the publisher Deep Silver was acquired by THQ Nordic. So officially, THQ Nordic is the official publisher of the Dead Island 2 game.

This is the week of the publisher’s annual presentation from which we have come to know about the overall earnings of the company. The presentation of their earning report has featured the logo of the Dead Island 2 game. This represents that the game is not dead yet and the developers will finish the game very soon.

THQ Nordic’s CEO Lars Wingefors has also confirmed about the game’s availability and they have also stated that the Dead Island 2 game is still going on.

Unfortunately, the CEO has not discussed anything further about the game and what we know so far is the game is in its development mode. They are yet to disclose the final release date of this game and we are certainly not aware of it. It has been in the development mode for last 5 or more years and we are yet to see the game in real.

The CEO has further said that the company has over 80 projects in the works from which 32 titles that been announced officially. 48 titles are still unannounced. If we talk about the games which are still not announced, Saints Row developer Volition, Metro dev 4A Games, Kingdom Come studio Warhorse will be soon announced by the publisher.
