Cross-Play Announced for PUBG Between the Major Consoles

If you are a die-hard fan of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, then here’s a good news for you all. The official PUBG game is getting cross-play support on all major consoles. Yes, PUBG Corp., today, announced that the game is getting cross-play support during the Inside Xbox Gamescom presentation.

The game will be updated soon that will support Cross-play for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 in the late September month. The game’s server will also be updated in the coming October month. The new update with cross-play support of the game will add tough competitors to the game. The game will also gain global popularity as more users will join the cross-play.

The Cross-play matchmaking support will not be available for the PC users. Yes, if you have been playing the game on your PC, then this support will not be available on your console.

Unfortunately, the makers didn’t reveal any more information during the presentations, all they spoke is about the new cross-play support on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.

Apparently, the console users and PC users will be playing as competitors and they are on two different platforms. This doesn’t look fair at all as the number of PC users of the game is also in millions.

Apart from the Consoles and PC platforms, the PUBG Mobile was also not mentioned by the makers during the presentation. The competitor, Fortnite has an all-in-one edition for all the consoles. While the PUBG’s mobile version is different from the console users. This also makes players of different consoles confused. So we would not see the cross-play support for Mobile users as well.

The Cross-Play Support will go live on the PUBG’s official servers in the coming October month. The players will also get to play the same on their respective consoles from the October month.

There are still so many days left to see the cross-play support for the game. We hope to hear some more official words regarding this new venture of the PUBG game for the console, PC and Mobile users in the coming days. The makers will soon come up with more information.
