Cloudflare Launches its Privacy-Focused Service on Android and iOS

Cloudflare has launched its application for privacy-focused DNS service on Android and iOS. The dedicated app offers mobile users the freedom to safely browse the internet by accessing the free DNS service. The application has a simple UI and features, and it is now available to download on Play Store and AppStore for free.

Cloudflare’s privacy-focused DNS service was first announced in April. It is a public DNS resolver that is claimed to be the fastest DNS resolver available, and it supports DNS-over-TLS/DNS-over-HTTPS. Their service promises high-security as ISPs were known to log DNS queries.

Even though the service is already available for mobile users, some find it difficult to change their DNS service and some even find it impossible. But using this app will your life easier as it is simple to use and features one on/off button to use the DNS service. All you have to do is a simple click and you are now safer as you are before.

The application re-routes your DNS requests through CloudFlare’s own servers, the service uses a local VPN server and you can’t use other VPNs at the same time, but worry not, it is already safe. Aside from that, the DNS service is more secure compared to the other DNS resolvers as Cloudflare does not collect any user data just like ISPs would do. All the logs generated by the service are for debugging only and they will be immediately deleted after 24 hours.

Cloudflare’s DNS service also features some additional security options such as Query Name Minimization that removes privacy leakage by sending minimal query names to DNS servers. These security features offer a fast service regardless of the high-level security. It is even faster compared to Google DNS in some instances as it is deployed on Cloudflare’s 1,000+ servers all over the world.

The app is now available to download on Play store and App Store for free.  Just download, install, and use the app to hide your internet footprints and be safer than ever. Stay tuned with TechnoCodex for more updates.
