Chrome OS 74 rolling out with Google Assistant and Device Searches


A new version of Chrome OS launched today by the tech giant with some additional features and functionality. This time, the Chrome OS moved up to v74 which fixes many issues and added many things including the most important audio output support for Linux applications and USB camera support for the Android Camera app.

In addition, the new Chrome OS v7.4 brings a revamped search experience that unifies Google Assistant, on-device and web search. This simplifies the way how we search for things on Chrome OS. After installing this update, one may simply tap the search box and type whatever they want to search. No matter whether you are looking for a song, app or want to know tomorrow’s forecast. This new search algorithm will find it for you.

However, the main feature of this update is the addition of audio output support for Linux applications. This will be very helpful for all Linux users. Also, the Android camera app now supports USB devices like external Camera. Furthermore, you can also perform document annotation n the Chrome PDF Viewer.
