Chinese Subway Stations Now Upgraded with Face Scanning Feature to Pay for the Tickets


When it comes to new technologies, China is the first country to implement them in their daily life routine to make things simple. Over the past few months, we have been hearing a lot about the Chinese Subway Stations to get the Facial Recognition system which is now reality.

Yes, you can now pay for your Subway Tickets at the Subway Stations using your Face. Facial Recognition Technology is currently on trending since it was introduced by Apple with its revolutionary iPhone X. The same technology is being used by many other smartphone makers and industries to make things simplified.

Chinese Subway Stations have implemented this Technology that will now recognize the faces of the comutters to pay for their tickets without the need for a physical card or any other type of payment method.

If we talk more about this new technology, then China is using this technology in the Schools to measure the attendance of the students and to identify the criminals. The country has just debuted the same system in the Subway Stations.

China is the world’s most populated country where millions of people use Subways for a variety of purposes. This new Facial Recognition system will help the passengers to pay for the tickets instantly without any hassle.

According to sources, China has started using this Facial Recognition system in the southern city of Shenzhen. Currently, the service lets the passengers of over 60 years register themselves for this new system so that they don’t have to carry any physical card or hard cash for the same.

Apart from Shenzhen, the other popular cities of China such as Jinan, Shanghai, Qingdao, Nanjing, and Nanning are also working on the implementation of the same system. They will soon finish experimenting with this system and will make it available for the Senior Citizens travelling in the Subways.

The Facial Recognition system has been deployed to 18 stations of the city of Shenzhen. Reports claim that the number of users is registering with this system by the passing of days.
