Canon expands its RF mount lens lineup with a new telephoto and prime lens in India


Soon after launching its EOS R5 and EOS R6 mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras, Canon has expanded its RF-mount lens portfolio with the launch of two new lenses — L305 and L307 in India. The L305 is a telephoto 70-200mm f/4 interchangeable lens and the L307 is the 50mm standard prime lens.
Canon RF 70-200mm telephoto lens: Features
The new Canon RF 70-200mm telephoto lens is a lightweight lens at just 695 grams. The L305 telephoto lens claims to offer sharp image quality throughout the zoom range with reduced vignetting, chromatic aberration and ghosting. Apart from this, the lens features 9-blade circular aperture for maximum bokeh effect and it is also equipped with a nano USM motor for smooth zoom operation and fast focus.
L305 comes with an in-built Image Stabiliser (IS) that provides up to 5-stops image stabilization to ensure sharp images even when shooting handheld. The image stabilization can go up to 7.5-stops when paired with either EOS R5 or EOS R6
Canon RF 50mm prime lens: Features
Canon L307, the 50mm prime lens comes with larger aperture of f/1.8 for low-light photography. The lens offers a similar field of view as the human eye and is also suitable for many types of photography such as portraits, landscapes, and food photography. The minimum focusing distance of 30cm.
