Another title from the Borderlands series is now released by the developer Gearbox. This is none other than then the much-anticipated title Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition. As promised by the developers, this game is now officially launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on PC. In addition, Gearbox also released a collection of new textures packs for the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.
Gearbox has updated the Borderlands for the modern era with 4K graphics and textures. In addition, the developers have also upgraded some of the contents of the game. Borderlands: GotY is loaded with all the features which you find in the latest Borderlands titles even some more with the addition of SHiFT support.
With SHiFT account, you can import your gaming progress which you had saved on any Borderlands title. Using SHiFT account to back up your progress will reward you a couple of weapons and 75 gold keys. In addition, the latest title supports the four-player local co-op which is usually absent in the original release.
The Handsome Collection which includes 4K texture packs is being offered for free, while Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition goes for $30 regardless of platform. In case, you already own the original Borderlands on Steam, you’ll receive a free update with all of the perks included in the Game of the Year Edition upgrades.
