Borderlands E3 Leak Reveals Borderlands 2 DLC which might connect to Borderlands 3

Borderlands 3 is just a few months away from its release date in September, but just before its actual release, DLC for the Borderlands 2 has leaked and is likely to bridge the gap between the game and its upcoming sequel.

This leak origin from the new piece of free downloadable content which is coming to the Borderlands 2. This adds on is titled as Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary which will include new bosses, new areas, and, of course, new loot. This adds on is reported to be launched on June 9.

Here’s the official description of Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary.

Return to the award winning shooter-looter for a new adventure that sets the stage for the upcoming Borderlands 3. Sanctuary is under siege, the Vault’s map has been stolen and a toxic gas is poisoning Pandora. Fight new bosses, explore new zones, get new loot (including an entirely new tier beyond Legendary) and join up with Lilith and the Crimson Raiders to take on a deranged villain hell-bent on ruling the planet

Returning players can pursue an increased level cap of 80, while newcomers can automatically boost to level 30 and dive straight into the action.

However, after a short period of time, this description has been removed from the Steam. However, it has been captured by a couple of online platforms. The listing said the DLC would be free and has Vault Hunters teaming up with Lilith and the Crimson Raiders to save Pandora.

The fight for Sanctuary referred to in the new content’s title may offer some clues to the transition from Borderlands 2’s hub city to the new spaceship hub, Sanctuary 3, in Borderlands 3. Gearbox’s Borderlands 3 is due out on Sept. 13 for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.

Borderlands 3 will land on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 13. It was confirmed that the upcoming looter-shooter will also launch on the Google Stadia day one as part of today’s Stadia Connect Event, kicking off this year’s E3.
