Prime Video’s blockbuster series, The Wheel of Time, is returning to screens in just over three months with the highly-anticipated second season. In exciting news, the streamer has unveiled a new set of episodic images that offer more context to the narrative. Additionally, fans can look forward to a fresh version of The Great Hunt novel. Featuring Rosamund Pike and Josha Stradowski, the special tie-in edition will hit shelves on July 18th, 2023, giving readers the chance to expand their collection ahead of the upcoming season.
The latest batch of images features Perrin Aybara, played by Marcus Rutherford, covered in blood in the middle of a fight, as well as other characters in new scenarios, including Elayne Trakand (Ceara Coveney), Egwene al’Vere (Madeleine Madden), and Nynaeve al’Meara (Zoë Robins). The upcoming season also includes new cast members, such as Ayoola Smart, Natasha O’Keeffe, Gregg Chillingirian, Meera Syal, Maja Simonsen, Ragga Ragnars, Jay Duffy, and Rima Te Wiata.
The Great Hunt is the second installment in the beloved series by the late Robert Jordan, which was completed by Brandon Sanderson after his passing. Sanderson’s six books in the series, which he helped to complete, all made the #1 New York Times bestsellers list. Meanwhile, the first novel – The Eye on the World – was recognized as one of America’s best-loved novels by The Great American Read.
