Blizzard’s Warcraft mobile game has a new name, moves to soft launch

Blizzard’s highly anticipated mobile game set in the Warcraft universe is nearing its worldwide launch, as the US-based developer announced this week. The game, previously known as Warcraft Arclight Rumble, has now been renamed to better reflect its content. Blizzard chose a shorter and more direct name that aligns with the game experience.

Along with the announcement, Blizzard revealed that the game is entering its soft launch phase with various exciting new features and improvements. Initial testing will be conducted in the Philippines, with access gradually rolling out to other regions in the coming weeks and months.

Here are some of the significant new features and enhancements that have been implemented since the game’s closed beta:

• Arclight Surge: Rediscover familiar maps with a fresh twist!
• Heroic Campaign: Take on a handcrafted challenge with an extra layer of difficulty!
• New Zones: Venture into Darkshore and The Hinterlands, now in a miniaturized form within Warcraft Rumble.
• New Dungeons: Battle infamous foes, scaled down to miniature proportions, in Gnomeregan and the Deadmines.
• Leaders and Talents: Explore new talents introduced for each mini character, including the latest addition, Old Murk-Eye.
• PvP Overhaul: Experience a transformed PvP system, featuring rotating maps and modifiers through seasons.

Android and iOS users can pre-register on the official Warcraft Rumble site to participate in upcoming soft launch events or receive notifications about the official launch. However, pre-registration does not offer any additional rewards at this time.
