Diablo IV has finally launched and it’s been a major victory for the troubled Blizzard. According to the company, it’s their fastest-selling game on both PC and console. This is based on pre-order sales from both retailers and Blizzard’s own data. The game’s early access started on June 1 and players have already spent a whopping 93 million hours of playtime, which roughly equates to 10,000 years worth of gameplay.
If you haven’t kept up with Diablo IV, it’s a dungeon crawler game with a vast open world and will receive full seasonal live-service support after the launch. While it may not be a game that reinvents the action-RPG genre, it is a polished and enjoyable game that most players would enjoy. According to Alessio Palumbo of Wccftech, “it delivers incredibly fun hack and slash action combat, a greatly improved skill system, and a ton of things to do, not to mention the best story told in the franchise yet.”
Diablo IV can now be played on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5. Will you be one of the many players diving back into hell?
