Blizzard is Taking Steps to Add More Storage in Diablo 4, Addressing Player Demands

Rest assured, Blizzard is fully aware of the demand for more storage space in Diablo 4 and is actively working on implementing it into the game.

In a complex game like Diablo 4, managing storage is crucial. However, many players have found it insufficient. During a recent livestream by game director Joe Piepiora, he explicitly acknowledged that the team has heard the concerns regarding storage (thanks to PCGamesN). Piepiora clarified that although larger storage is in the works, the team is still in the process of determining how to make it happen. It’s important to understand that game development doesn’t involve a simple “add more storage” button.

Diablo 4 developer update for July.

“I want to emphasize that we are fully aware of everyone’s concerns,” Piepiora stated during the livestream. “We are actively discussing what needs to be done. We have solid plans to improve the situation and provide more space in the future. We are currently exploring the best approach to achieve this.”

The team also emphasized that their priority is always to “get it right” rather than rushing it, as lead producer Tim Ismay stated, “Whenever Joe wants to make a change based on feedback, the immediate question is, ‘Can we do this right away?’ It’s never about doing it eventually or when it makes sense.”

Earlier this week, Blizzard officially announced that the game’s first season, named Season of the Malignant, will launch on July 20 across all platforms. Each season will introduce new narrative content, including quests, with the first season picking up where the main campaign leaves off.
