BlackShark Gaming Phone First Official Teaser is Out

The BlackShark Gaming Phone from Xiaomi under its subsidiary brand Black Shark Technologies is scheduled to launch on April 13 in Beijing, China.The phone has already been spotted in a couple of benchmarks and few alleged leaked renders. Earlier this week we have also posted a leaked render and a live image of the device. While we did issue a warning about its authenticity, the CEO has himself come out to discredit the photos.

Today, the Chinese company had now released an official teaser for the device that pulls back the covers on the corner of the phone, revealing a smartphone body with a large-curved corner. There is only a power key visible in the teaser while the volume rocker could be on the opposite side of the device. The teaser translates to “Students are competitive” and features a fencer with a sabre splitting their face and the phone down the middle.

Although there isn’t much information regarding its specs right now, however from previous leaks the BlackShark Gaming Phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and will feature a Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display. The smartphone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. The smartphone is expected to arrive in three memory configurations; it comes in 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage and lastly 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage.

The BlackShark gaming smartphone might come with a 120Hz display, aviation-class cooling system and Quick Charge 3.0 rapid charging technology in order to compete with the Razer Phone that was released last year. Stay tuned with us for more details.
