BlackBerry KEY2 Launched in India with 4.5-inch FHD+ Display, Dual Rear Cameras: Price, Specifications and More


After the global launch last month, BlackBerry Key2 is now launched in India. The main highlight of the smartphone is BlackBerry’s iconic physical QWERTY Keyboard that comes with certain intelligent shortcuts helping users launch apps and activate commands with the press of a single key.  Another highlight of the smartphone is its dual rear camera setup, it is the first smartphone from the company to sport a dual camera setup.

BlackBerry KEY2 Price and Availability

The BlackBerry KEY2 comes with the price tag of Rs. 42,990 and will be available to purchase exclusively via Amazon India from July 31. It comes only in Black color option.

As for launch offers, the company is providing Reliance Jio cashback offer of Rs. 4,450 and  5 percent cashback offer on ICICI bank. There will be additional launch benefits as well.

BlackBerry KEY2 Specifications

The BlackBerry KEY2 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and sports a 4.5” full-HD (1080×1620 pixels) 3:2  IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 433ppi 24-bit colour depth, and  2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on top of it. The smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. It offers 6GB of RAM with 64GB/ 128GB internal storage options. The internal storage can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

For photography, the BlackBerry KEY2 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of two 12MP sensors with Dual Tone LED flash support. The Primary sensor has an f/1.8 aperture, 1.28-micron pixels and 79.3-degree field of view while the secondary sensor has f/2.6 aperture, 1.0 micron pixels and a 50-degree field of view. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie shooter with screen flash for taking brighter selfies.

The BlackBerry KEY2 is fuelled by a 3500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, Dual 4G LTE,  Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual-band 2.4GHz, 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0 LE, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, hall effect sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint scanner embedded in spacebar. It measures 151.4×71.8×8.5mm and weight is 168 grams.
